I am not happy about this, Cali s Fing up... Someone needs to get to Sacramento, and tell them  that we need a competitive Tax incentive for Film Making! What is going on California? Your cutting spending but in the largest category Our Children's education?  

Most of a films budget goes to paying crew, and renting Locations, both of which stimulate the economy! All the big studios are in LA... It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to come to the conclusion that stimulus is being lost by keeping movie crews out of Los Angeles. They think that there is no benefit, they are idiots. I have worked on big crews, we spend money in the area we are in all the time!

This is your stimulus, it brings a steady flow of money into the city and helps keep up with the ware and tear of the city in general. Not 2 mention Location Fees! These Businesses get upwards of $50k 4 1 day of filming. The police and the city get paid 2 shut down streets. You want to create jobs? make it easy to Shoot here, crews have upwards of 100 members and could create many jobs. All the other states are seeing how much money is in the entertainment industry, but the City that has all the studios is blind to it? 

When I was in Boston for "Surrogates" we had 60 or so local PA's! That was 60 jobs created just by a film coming out and shooting in that town!  Boston has a tax incentive for shooting, and why the hell not! They see the Benefit! But these idiots just want 2 cut the education of children and the police force? We have an actor for a gov, he should know these things! 

75% of the crew Members I know don't always eat Catering when on location, that is money that goes into the Restaurants in the area of filming, Maybe it is my own ignorance but I believe that Film Crews Bring money and lots of it, and it takes complete morons to push them out!  If my Budget is 2mil and i m shooting in your town, It is a safe bet that I am bringing at least 1mil to your community.

Why is it so hard to see, it is time for these people to wake up and fight for what is proven, Filming LA helps our economy.
